Learn the Art of Interior Decorating for Sororities

Are you wanting to update your chapter’s sorority house but aren’t sure where to start? Then this course is for you!  Liz Toombs, C.I.D and Erika Ross, C.I.D. will provide a wealth of knowledge in this course, sharing their years of experience in the niche of sorority housing and interior decorating. This course offers two great levels, both of which will be a phenomenal resource for those in- and outside of the Greek life world.

DIY Level ›

In this level, you’ll have access to all the online courses, as well as our online Facebook community alongside fellow classmates and instructors. Cost: $495

VIP Level ›

At the VIP Level, you’ll have access to everything in the DIY level, with a monthly group meeting via Zoom (from March-July) where a PDR professional will answer questions about your specific project. Cost: $1,200

Project Strategy Session Add-On ›

Current students at either level may also purchase a strategy session, a 2-hour Zoom session for an in-depth review of your project space plans and selections.  This is a deep dive where a PDR professional acts as your sounding board and provides individual attention to help you get everything lined out before ordering your products. 

*requires all space plans and selections to be sent to PDR for review 1 week prior to scheduled call. Cost: $550 per session (multiple sessions may be purchased individually.)

About Your Instructors

Liz Toombs, C.I.D. and Erika Ross, C.I.D. are industry-leading interior decorators who have revolutionized how Greek housing projects are designed and managed. Their expertise working with sororities across the nation positions them as the foremost professionals in the industry. In 2021, they embarked on a journey to share their experience and expertise in an online course to help house corporation boards manage their chapter house redecorating project. This course offers everything from hands-on decorating skills, project preparation, managing stakeholders board opinions and everything in between. This course taps into the years of Greek life interior decorating experience Liz and Erika bring to the table, and you won’t want to miss it!

 

The work of PDR can be seen on college campuses around the country, as well as homes and businesses in more than 22 states. Projects have been featured on the cover of Kentucky Homes & Gardens, as well as in the Lexington Herald-Leader, Southsider, Chevy Chaser and Today’s Woman.

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTORS

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN

This course contains amazing information not only within the interior decorating field, but also targeted information about working within the sorority and Greek housing industries, great for house corporation boards. Here’s a sample of some course offerings.

 

Planning and Information Gathering

As we begin the course, you’ll learn how to kick-off any project with specifics like measuring, planning, organizing, taking photos and many more tips for information gathering when planning your chapter’s next project.

 

Decorating Expertise and Expert Tips

This course will offer extremely hands-on education for specific decorating components; everything from window treatments, art placement and scale, pillows and accessories, lighting and lamps, rugs and flooring, materials and durability and maximizing the use of any space.

 

Boards, Business and Soft Skills

Aside from decorating prowess, you’ll also gain valuable insight from Liz and Erika’s experience in working with boards and chapter members, how to balance their opinions and navigate the process.

DIY OPTION

Our DIY option is the most affordable, but still affords you access to the full online course, and the Facebook group to share with other course attendees.

In the course, participants will receive:

  • A step by step guided process for planning their sorority space update
  • The process is duplicatable each time the board has a new project at the house. Buy it once, and use it over and over again. The process is exactly what we follow when planning our full service sorority client projects.
  • A collaborative community of fellow Sorority Edition participants

Course Fee: $495

VIP OPTION

The VIP is the absolute BEST option as it provides valuable face-time on Zoom with our instructors. You’ll receive everything from the DIY option (Online course, access to Facebook group) plus, monthly group Zoom calls (from March until July) with instructors where you can have your specific questions answered about your current or future projects.

At this level, you’ll receive:

  • 5 monthly group Zoom calls where a PDR professional will answer specific questions about your project
  • A step by step guided process for planning their sorority space update
  • The process is duplicatable each time the board has a new project at the house. Buy it once, and use it over and over again. The process is exactly what we follow when planning our full service sorority client projects.
  • A collaborative community of fellow Sorority Edition participants
  • Access to an interior decorating professional to use as a sounding board when making project decisions

Owner & President, PDR Interiors

Liz Toombs, C.I.D. is president and owner of PDR Interiors, an industry- leading firm in sorority interiors.  The team’s work can be seen on over 70 campuses spread across 22+ states. 

 

Liz has been quoted by notable media outlets including The Huffington Post, The Associated Press, and Realtor.com. She and the company were featured on MSNBC’s Your Business. 

 

Liz is a graduate of the University of Kentucky and an alumna of Alpha Gamma Delta.  Mentoring other women is a keystone of PDR, something Liz learned to value through her fraternity experience.  Helping to preserve that experience for current and future members of women’s organizations is what drives Toombs to focus on sorority housing projects.

 

Liz enjoys exercising (yes, really!), spending time at Lake Cumberland, and almost always has a book in her hand. She shares her home with her husband and college sweetheart, Billy, and their frequently instagrammed dogs, Wendel and Bartlet.

Erika Ross, Certified Interior Decorator

Erika Ross, C.I.D. specializes in working with sorority clients nationwide. She loves getting to know the different organizations personalities as well as the campus culture and she brings those elements into each project she works on. Getting to see the joy on the chapter member’s faces when they see the finished product is without a doubt her favorite part of the process.  

 

Erika enjoys spending time with her family in Louisville, and slowly updating her first home with her husband Kyle and their rescue pup Kobe.
